It means beginning to shape your own future. Part of growing up means taking more responsibility for your actions. And you shouldn’t lose out on both opportunities by procrastinating and procrastinating without choosing anything at all. You shouldn’t toss a coin into the air and leave it up for fate to decide. When you have to make a tough decision, you don’t want to overthink things - but you don’t want to underthink them either. You have to have faith that you’ve got this. You have to have faith that you’ll make the right decision after gathering together as much information as possible. You have to take this journey on your own. You cannot rely on someone else to make the choice for you. When you have to make a tough decision, you should trust yourself. There’s a difference between preparing yourself for what could go wrong and torturing yourself with the worst case scenarios. You don’t want to call yourself a screwup who can’t do anything right. You don’t want to think about every bad thing that happened to you in the past and worry history is going to repeat itself.
